Until my Mom discovered WILDFIT®, I had no idea that my food choices were making my body an enemy to living an everyday teen life.
WILDFIT® empowered me to take control of my food choices and cravings, providing the knowledge I needed for real change.
The program taught me, ‘I control my food; my food doesn’t control me.’ As a result, my weight stabilized, and I effortlessly maintained my ideal weight.
Today, my confidence and energy are vastly different from where they were a decade ago. Halfway through the WILDFIT® program, my life changed for the better. <p>I no longer needed the medication (e.g., Metformin) that doctors insisted I take for the rest of my life, which had caused other health problems because of its side effects. </p>
I now know with absolute certainty that I can live healthy and free. Genetics are not as rigid as we are led to believe.

Parenting in today’s world can be challenging, making it extremely important to advocate for yourself and your children and to seek answers. Remember, what you eat can be why your health isn’t where you want it to be.
I ached to watch my daughter suffer at such a young age; she was only 12!
I worried about her medical condition and her physical and emotional well-being.
She was self-conscious and insecure.

Frustration — All the ‘experts’ did was propose another diet. I tried every approach and enrolled her in a gym membership. While discussing her situation, her trainer suggested, “Check her insulin levels.” So we did.

Rewa was insulin-resistant. This means her body was not responding properly to the insulin produced by her pancreas. As a result, her pancreas had to pump out more insulin to get her blood sugar into the cells. Over time, her cells became resistant to all that insulin, causing her blood sugar to keep rising. Left untreated or unmanaged properly, it could have worsened her health problems, such as weight gain, fatigue, or even type 2 diabetes.
Upon learning that she was insulin resistant, I applied my deep, lifelong passion for nutrition, health, and fitness to come up with a diet that enabled her to lose some weight. The combination of medication and a modified diet brought her insulin levels under control, giving us a sense of relief. Unfortunately, the side effects of the medication, such as nausea and sweating, still made her feel self-conscious about her appearance— something no teen should have to endure.
I then worried about her transition to university and her ability to maintain her diet. I was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to sustain the weight loss she had achieved through my diet plan because of the possibility of reverting to her old habits, as she had done in the past. She needed to create lasting positive eating habits to make a real lifestyle change if she wanted to keep the weight off. I had to find something that would be manageable for her while still allowing her to live a normal life.
Finally, a breakthrough. I felt a nudge — this is it!
When I found WILDFIT® it proved to be the perfect lifestyle program. It merged seamlessly with everything I had learned and discovered before, filling in the missing gaps that no doctor or dietitian could help with.
When I shared the principles with Rewa, and eventually my clients, the rewards and many positive, life-changing results came fast and steady.
Completing the WILDFIT® journey allowed Rewa to nourish and treat her body naturally. We have both witnessed tremendous changes in her physique, and her mental outlook is now one of peace and contentment. Celebrating those changes and her newfound health and zest for life fueled me to serve others who are struggling.
WILDFIT® taught me that the body is more than a physical system fueled by our food. Food cravings result from a combination of biological needs and emotional responses rooted in our memory and lifelong habits.
Our mindset and how we treat our bodies are pivotal in achieving food freedom. I’m proud to be a certified WILDFIT® coach.
